    What Falls Under Healing Spaces™

    The Reset Room

A virtual and in-person offering where youth can slow down, journal, reflect, and re-center. Guided by affirmations, music, and calming visuals, the Reset Room invites softness and stillness into your day.

    Reclaiming Your Voice

A storytelling and journaling-based program that supports emotional processing and self-awareness. Youth write through themes like grief, identity, and joy while exploring voice, value, and vision. Co-facilitated by youth mentors and licensed clinicians of color.

    Body + Boundaries

A trauma-informed workshop series that uses movement, grounding exercises, and real-life scenarios to help youth explore emotional regulation, self-trust, and boundary-setting. This is where wellness meets empowerment.

    Mental Health & Wellness Curriculum

In collaboration with Boston Medical Center, Everyday Boston, and community clinicians of color, we offer a curriculum exploring:

    • Emotional literacy & coping skills

    • Navigating anxiety, burnout, and stress

    • Reproductive justice & body awareness

    • The power of rest and community care

This program is part education, part healing, and always affirming.

    Creative Healing Labs

Art therapy meets liberation. Youth use collage, blackout poetry, painting, zines, and mixed media to name their emotions and reclaim their narratives. Every lab is a new journey into expression and release.

    Health Equity Story Circles

Culturally-rooted healing circles where youth share lived experiences around health, care, identity, and healing. Guided by storytellers, artists, and wellness practitioners, these circles are joyful, gentle, and rooted in empathy.

    Black Girl Rest Rooms

Pop-up care lounges at schools, community centers, and YMCA Teen Nights. Think: soft music, affirmations, cozy blankets, tea, journaling kits, and space to just exhale. Because rest is resistance, and softness is strength.

    Hybrid Access & Virtual Healing

All Healing Spaces™ are designed with accessibility and flexibility in mind. Many sessions are offered in both in-person and virtual formats so youth can engage how they feel most comfortable—whether from home, school, or a safe corner of their world.

    Why Healing Spaces Matter

Black girls and gender-expansive youth are carrying so much. Through Healing Spaces™, we affirm that:

    • You are not too much.

    • You deserve care even when you’re not “productive.”

    • You can lead and still need rest.

    • You are whole, even when healing.

We don’t believe in “fixing” anyone. We believe in creating space to return to yourself—with community, love, and tools for lifelong wellness.
